Development Associate – Solar
Job-NumberStatus:
Reporting to the Country Manager, the main functions are:
– Coordinate the technical, economical, legal due diligence of projects. Projects can range from early to late stage development opportunities.
– Negotiation, execution and management of all contracts during Project development phase.
– Coordinate, manage relationships and obtain permits required for Construction and Interconnection of the projects.
– Establish a detailed Project Risk Score Card, detailing land, permitting, construction, grid code compliance and any other project risks that may have an impact on:
(a) the project company and resultant returns.
(b) the EPC Contractor and the project gross margin.
– Structure the outsourcing of key development activities to ensure the lowest cost of project development.
– Responsible for the completeness of the project development data room to be audited during Bank and Equity Investor Due Diligence process.
Essential Experience:
– 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the energy sector, with companies providing asset on a turnkey basis which requires an extensive project development phases.
– Minimum of 3 year experience as a project developer in the solar or wind industry preferred or a related field, including energy or real estate development. The candidate must have successful experiences to bring project development to the Financial Close completion stage.
– Technical Engineering degree required.
– Fluent in English.
